A Space for Architects: An office that Inspires

For the architecture and design departments of a major developer in St. Petersburg, the goal was not just to create a working environment, but to shape a space that itself becomes a source of inspiration — for both the team and office visitors.

At the heart of the project is a double-height open space with a central mezzanine. We conducted a detailed analysis of movement patterns and interaction scenarios to transform this area into an intellectual and visual core.

The key feature is an amorphous mezzanine: visually light and almost weightless, it appears to float in the space while functioning as a library. Here, the department’s professional memory is stored — books, material catalogs, and project archives.

The space is organized on two levels. The first is an open workspace designed for presentations, discussions, and collaboration. The second is intended for experimental and educational groups — a place to focus, explore, and step beyond routine tasks.

The materials — plywood and frosted glass — highlight the plasticity of form without overloading the interior.

In addition to the main space, a restrained and functional design was developed for the offices of engineering and management teams, with an emphasis on calm and concentration.
